Flying Fragments
Flying Fragments is a sculptural exhibition table designed as a centerpiece for fashion expos and curated installations. This piece explores the intersection of raw materiality and poetic symbolism, embodying the fragmented yet visionary nature of contemporary fashion design.Structure & Materials:The table is composed of gathered stainless steel plates-each plate shaped uniquely and arranged irregularly to form a broken yet intentional surface. These metal fragments vary in size, orientation, and height, with visible gaps between them. The result is a fragmented landscape that reflects the process of fashion as it evolves through experimentation, failure, and refinement.Floating above and subtly nestled among the metal fragments are elegant black ceramic bird forms. These birds, abstract and stylized, appear to be in mid-flight-either perched on the plates or suspended in motion. Their matte ceramic finish contrasts against the cold, reflective steel, adding warmth, movement, and a sense of narrative.Symbolism:The fragmented steel symbolizes the deconstructed foundation of design-fashion in its raw, unfinished state. The gaps represent opportunity and the creative unknown, while the birds evoke freedom, transformation, and the ever-evolving voice of fashion.
Together, they speak to the dialogue between structure and imagination.Functionality in Exhibition:This table serves as both a display platform and an art installation. It can be used to present accessories, textiles, or statement fashion pieces. The interplay of form, texture, and negative space invites viewers to move around it, discover details from different angles, and interpret the fashion objects as part of a larger narrative.”Fragments in Flight” is not just a display-it’s a visual story about how fashion rises from chaos and takes flight.
